Mended Little Hearts. Little hearts hold big hopes.

Mended Little Hearts, a new support program for parents of children with heart defects and heart disease, is dedicated to inspiring hope in those who care for the littlest heart patients of all. Mended Little Hearts offers resources and a caring support network as families find answers and move forward to find healing and hope.

A Heartbeat

For many parents, hearing the heartbeat of their unborn child becomes their first, loving bond to that child. It's no wonder, then, that discovering that their child has a heart defect, whether diagnosed in the womb, shortly after birth or during childhood, can be devastating.

Stacy and Noah

My name is Stacy and I am the mother of 5 children ranging in age from 16 to our heart baby Noah who just turned 1 March of 2007.  Noah was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and Double OUtlet Right Ventricle.  His first surgery, the Norwood with Sano shunt, was when he was 3 days old.  He had the Hemi-Fontan performed when he was 7 1/2 months old.  We are still waiting for his final surgery the Fontan which should be some time next year.  Noah has been doing very well aside from a few small developmental delays.  He is such a blessing to have and we are also thankful for the support and friendship of Carol and her family  during this first year.  Her words and knowledge help us stay at ease during times of surgery and such.
